Modern Building Alliance Hellas (MBA Hellas) is founded
07.07.2021. Modern Building Alliance Hellas is an alliance of commercial and manufacturing companies representing the polymer composite industry in the construction sector. It is a cluster of the Hellenic Chemical Industries Association (HACI), which was created in line with the standards of similar groups in the European Union and the rest of the world.
The main objective of this initiative is mainly to promote fire safety in buildings in collaboration with the construction industry, as composite polymers are being used continuously and increasingly in a range of solutions that give buildings greater strength, safety and sustainability.
The foundation of MBA Hellas is an act of responsibility of the members towards the society and a commitment to industrial production of products that will contribute to the optimization of fire safety in buildings, something that is common ground for all those involved in the construction of buildings.
The founding act of MBA Hellas was signed on 17 May 2021 by 13 members* at the first founding meeting. The members are well known Greek and international industries producing products and systems used in the construction and/or repair of buildings with either concrete or metal frames. As stated by the President of HACI and head of the MBA Hellas group, Vasilis Gounaris: «We strive to achieve the highest possible safety in all buildings that are constructed, or renovated, in collaboration with the construction industry. To this end, we will inform all stakeholders, especially the regulatory authorities, and work with all of them. We are committed to supporting all national and European efforts to ensure safe and sustainable construction for our country and the entire European community».
