New Chairman of Modern Building Alliance Hellas (MBA Hellas)
Athens, 27th of July 2022: With the participation of the representatives of the member companies of HACI/Modern Building Alliance Hellas-MBA Hellas, the General Assembly was recently held, which appointed the new Board of Directors. Chairman of the new Board was elected Mr. Konstantinos Rizakos of the company Rizakos G. K. SA.

Also, during the General Assembly, a review of the work of HACI/Modern Building Alliance Hellas MBA Hellas was held, as it completed one year of activity. During this period, with the support of the Hellenic Chemical Industries Association (HACI) and in cooperation with regulatory and scientific bodies, universities, internationally renowned organizations and the construction industry, the Association focused on initiatives (continuous information, educational programs, interventions with regulatory authorities, etc.) that contribute to the adoption of practices and the implementation of solutions for the optimization of fire safety in buildings.
Polymer composites are integral to modern construction applications. Floors, ceilings, frames, piping, modern solutions for damp-proofing and thermal insulation, cladding of industrial buildings, all contribute to the sustainability of the built environment. The main objective of HACI/MBA Hellas is to promote fire safety in buildings in cooperation with the construction industry.
MBA Hellas is an alliance of manufacturing and trading companies representing the composite polymer industry in the construction sector and is active within the HACI. Its members are well known Greek and international product and systems manufacturing industries, alphabetically: Arkhon Panel SA, Basf Hellas SA, Isomat SA, Mapei Hellas SA, Metallemporiki Th. Makris SA, MONOTEZ SA (Ravago Group), Neotex SA, Nordia SA, Noventa SA, Rizakos G. K. SA, Sika Hellas SA, UNISOL Andriopoulos H. SA, Vitex SA.
Modern Building Alliance Hellas – MBA Hellas follows the standards of the original Modern Building Alliance Europe (www.modernbuildingalliance.eu) based in Brussels. Similar alliances exist in all member states of the European Union and in other continents (North America MBA as well as MBA Australia).In the context of social responsibility initiatives, recently BASF, a member of HACI/MBA Hellas, delivered two water-borne fire trucks to the Fire Brigade, strengthening the work of the Fire Service, in the presence of the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Christos Stylianidis, the Deputy Chief of the Fire Brigade, Lieutenant General Ioannis Petroutsos.
The new president of MBA Hellas, Mr. Konstantinos Rizakos, referring to the work of the alliance, pointed out: “We continue our work with the same commitment to our main objective, which is to contribute mainly to the promotion of fire safety in buildings, in cooperation with the construction industry. Composite polymers are being used continuously and at an increasing rate, in a range of solutions that give buildings greater strength, safety and sustainability. In this context, we continue our initiatives to inform all stakeholders and in particular regulators, supporting every effort to ensure safe and sustainable construction.”.
